The Celtics lost one of their star players Gordon Hayward in the season opener. Gordon Hayward suffered a brutal lower leg injury just 5 minutes into his Boston Celtics debut against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hayward went up for an alley-oop from new teammate Kyrie Irving when he landed hard on the court. He dislocated his left ankle, potentially ending his long-awaited first year in Boston. He was immediately tended to by medical personnel and was taken away on a stretcher. Gordon Hayward over the summer with a signed a 4 year / $127,829,970 contract with the Boston Celtics. They ended up losing the season opener to the Cavaliers 102-99.

They also lost their home opener to the Bucks 108-100. Their first win of the season was against the 76ers 102-92, and they haven’t stopped, winning 14 straight at the time of the publication of this article.

Jack Klovee thinks that the Celtics will have a good season. He thinks they will make it to the divisional championship, although he thinks they will lose there. I agree, I think they will do good although they need Gordon Hayward to go further.
